We are a Rights Respecting School. In February 2022 we became a Silver Rights Aware School, following our accreditation visit with Stuart Whiffin. We are now on our journey to Gold!
Our Rights Respecting mascot is: Lukas the Rights Respecting Lamb
He was designed by one of our Year 6 children in 2018. You will find Lukas around our school on displays to remind us of Articles from the UNCRC Rights of the Child.
Lukas appears on our weekly newsletters with our right of the month.
Our right for October is: Article 12: the right to say what you think should happen and be listened to .
Our Rights Respecting Committee use the Rights of the Month as devised with the Children’s Commissioner of Wales to inform our Article for each month of the school year.
